First Ferrari has just arrived in Brisbane

Brisbane northern suburbs' Drive In Mower Centre at Wilston takes delivery of the very first Ferrari tractor to arrive in Brisbane. Ferrari tractors are specifically designed for working orchards. This particular model is part of the THOR series. It represents Ferrari's top of the line tractors from 70HP to 91HP and has 16 gear speeds in each direction. The THOR can be articulated or rigid bodied, reversible or mono directional. This articulated system means less time spent turning. It will finish a job 30% quicker than any other tractor on the market. Specialised versions such as the "MT" are wider and with more underside clearance, also available with wider tyre system for less weight impact on orchard root systems. The Thor's weigh is just under 2000kg. The THOR series can be equipped with every imaginable attachment on the market.

A devotion to high quality products makes Ferrari pay very close attention to quality control. Two unique procedures separate Ferrari from competitors. The first, the diesel engine is not installed until the entire transmission drive train and axle units are assembled and all functions including gear shifting are tested with electric motors. PTO engagement and braking are tested with an infinite variation of test motors. Following these stringent test procedures, the diesel engine is installed followed by dynamometer tests for power output and clutch engagement. This extra care is peace of mind and a clear benefit of owning a Ferrari tractor.
