The patented STIHL 4-Mix engine combines the best of 2-stroke and 4-stroke technologies to deliver noticeably more torque (cutting power) than conventional engines.
Designed in advance of the stricter exhaust emission and sound controls being enforced around the world, the 4-Mix also satisfies stricter Occupational Health & Safety requirements for lower vibration levels for the professional operator.
The unique design also allows multi-position use (even upside-down) without damage to the engine. Also the patented lubrication system means the operator doesn’t have to carry the extra 10% weight of the oil sump and oil pump otherwise required in a typical 4-stroke engine.

Simply clever - the STIHL Easy2Start™
Distinctly less effort is needed to start the engine with the STIHL Easy2Start™ system. As the rope is pulled, a helical spring is tensioned against the compression pressure. This helical spring simultaneously compensates the individual peak forces, making them virtually imperceptible on the rope itself. When the energy stored in the spring is greater than the compression pressure, it is discharged to the crankshaft and the engine is started. This may sound complicated, but in fact, it is really very simple. Most importantly, the advantage is evident immediately.

The self propelled HRU216M1 Honda Buffalo is the first Honda Lawnmower to be manufactured in Australia that incorporates the new Honda Rotostop Blade Brake technology known as Blade Brake Clutch (BBC).
This feature enables the blade rotation to stop within 3 seconds of releasing the handle while the engine continues to run.
Other improved features of this model include: improved wheels, handle folding, handle grip, grass bag, mulching plug and a discharge guard. There is also a newly designed front bar to protect the front of the cutter deck that is sturdy enough to be used as a lifting point and tie down point.
